Are you interested in improving the lives of people who have been severely affected by their cancer treatment? The Pelvic Radiation Disease Association (PRDA) is seeking to recruit a skilled Services & Volunteer Coordinator to join its small team of staff and volunteers who are passionate about making a difference.

This is an exciting time to join the charity as we develop our services and increase our profile following the release of the Best Practice Pathway for Pelvic Radiation Disease (PRD) in 2022. We are now in a position to grow quickly as a charity while continuing to offer a personalised range of direct support services to people living with PRD.

The Volunteer and Services Coordinator will have two key roles – to recruit, support and develop a team of volunteers and to deliver our direct patient support services. PRDA needs more volunteers in a variety of roles in order to enhance our work to support and give a voice to people affected by PRD.

Role descriptionServices & Volunteer Coordinator

The successful applicant will be a skilled, empathetic communicator with excellent organisational skills who has experience in recruiting and supporting volunteers, ideally in a health charity.

The ability to gain and maintain volunteers’ confidence is essential, as is a commitment to equality and inclusion. Experience working within a support group/helpline service would be advantageous, as would experience developing and delivering support services and/or project management experience.
