Lesley Smith BSc PhD, currently working as the Programme Manager in Macmillan’s Consequences of Treatment department, has kindly agreed to become a PRDA Trustee as from 31st July 2017.
Lesley will bring a wide breadth of experience and be a great asset to the team.
Since 2010 Lesley has worked at Macmillan Cancer Support as Consequences of Treatment Programme Manager, working at a UK-wide level on improving outcomes for people with consequences of pelvic cancer treatments. She brings key skills in stakeholder engagement, in particular with health professionals, NHS strategic/business planning, programme management and service improvement. Prior to Macmillan, Lesley worked in NHS management for 20 years, which followed a short career in laboratory research. Her degree is in Biochemistry, and her PhD in Toxicology. Lesley is married with 2 children.
