We’re please to share the news that Prostate Cancer Research are hosting a webinar for healthcare professionals on Tuesday 8th October 6pm discussing ‘Radiotherapy and Management of Late Effects’.
Guest speaker, Monica Thornton, the Lead Radiotherapy and Late Effects Macmillan Radiographer from University Hospital Derby and Burton, will share her expertise on ‘Radiotherapy Late Effects – What healthcare professionals can do to help support patients experiencing the consequences of radiotherapy treatment and its impact on quality of life’.
Throughout the course of the webinar, the following topics will be discussed:
- The symptoms of late effects that patients may experience
- A first-hand account of a patient’s journey with late effects
- Various approaches to the treatment and management of late effects
- The advantages of having access to a specialist late effects clinic
- Resources like the infopool* and strategies for self-managing late effects
