We were delighted to attend the International Multidisciplinary Anal Cancer Conference (IMACC) in Leeds recently. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with healthcare professionals, researchers, and advocates who share our passion for improving support for people living with Pelvic Radiation Disease (PRD).

Throughout the conference, we had many positive and engaging conversations with delegates who were keen to learn more about our services and how they can signpost patients to the PRDA. We also discussed how they can use the PRD Best Practice Pathway to better support those living with the late effects of pelvic radiotherapy.

One of the highlights of the event was meeting Naman Julka-Anderson and Jo McNamara, founders of RadChat — the first multi-award-winning therapeutic radiographer-led oncology podcast. They were podcasting live at IMACC and kindly invited us to join them as a guest. Rad Chat is a leading voice in radiotherapy education, empowering healthcare professionals with engaging, accessible, and evidence-based content.

There are seven episodes of Rad Chat Live at IMACC 2025 Leeds to listen to, including several that explore late effects of radiotherapy and the consent process:

You can listen to these episodes on the RadChat transistor as well as a variety of streaming services. You can find all Pelvic Radiation Disease related content easily using the search function.

Attending IMACC was not only an inspiring experience but also an important way to share knowledge, raise awareness of PRD, and strengthen connections within the wider supportive oncology community.
